 Welcome... Minimize
Welcome! - Monday, January 05, 2009

This website has been specially created to support public involvement in Salt Lake City's Open Government Initiative recently announced by the Mayor and the City Council.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE TO SUBMIT COMMENTS ON ANY OTHER MATTER INVOLVING SALT LAKE CITY GOVERNMENT.

CONTACT US

How do I provide my comments or suggestions on the Transparency Initiative?  There are any number of ways.  You may want to consider the following.

Probably the simplest way is to send the City an e-mail to transparency@slcgov.com or a letter to City Attorney, Salt Lake City Corporation, P.O. Box 145478, Salt Lake City, UT, 84114-5478.

If you want to engage in a dialogue with your fellow citizens as well as provide your comments to the City, you can use the “Forum” function and any one or more of its “threads”.  You'll need to register to post comments or reply. (Click on the 'Register' button in the upper right corner of the page.)   If you want to suggest additional  threads  on transparency, you can let us know by e-mail or letter at the address above.

We will use the Blog to provide the public with information about the progress of the project, including discussion of the public input that we have received and possible future directions of the project.

If you are interested in participating in the “Wiki,” please contact us by e-mail or letter.

Of course you can discuss transparency with City officials just as you would any other City issue.

MONITORING:  We will be monitoring comments to assure that inappropriate content is not posted on this website. This is an unfortunate necessity in today's world and our hope is that this issue does not present itself. Our credibility in exercising the monitoring function is important to us.  We will make available upon written request copies of all responses that we have declined to post as well as our reasons for not posting them.
